So I was looking at the dividend calendar and found a small, un-watched company, Electro-Sensors Inc. (ELSE).  Pays a dividend, no debt, 4% ROA, 10% ROE, 0.31 EPS (ttm), PE 14.  Can't rate it in CAPS (why?) but I have started a position in it.  Ex-Dividend today.

Still long WETF!

In addition to price per share requirements (which it meets), they have a volume requirement in order to list it.

It does not meet all of the criteria.

Thanks for the heads up, will look at it.

Even though it can not be rated in CAPS, it looks like a good little company.

It is tiny, and may not have much liquidity, (being mostly insider owned), and there is a large spread between the ask and bid, but I went ahead and bought a few shares anyway.

The financials look good. It is profitable, and more importantly, it is increasing profitability, and the balance sheet is solid.

It also pays a dividend.

The thing that caught my interest, is their investment company, ESI Investments, which had a very good profit. That is what allowed the significant (for their size) increase in their income.

Of course, the core business is also profitable, and they mentioned in their report that they were looking for accquisitions.

Not quite sure how the two fit together, since ESI is a private company, but they are located at the same address, and ESI was mentioned in the SEC filing for ELSE.

Didn't buy a lot, but will watch it with interest, even though it won't show up in CAPS.

JMO and worth exactly what I am charging for it.

Again, thanks for the heads up.

TeacherMan,  that's what I am doing.  Bought a little to see what happens.  I really like their dividend plans, as far back as I have found it's been 4cents a share (forever)...if they want to give me free money I'll let them!
