North carolina to tax parents if kids vote democrat?

April 05, 2013 – Comments (12) | RELATED TICKERS: SH , AME

At the moment North Carolina is straight Republican.  However they don't forget how President Obama won that state by the slimmest of margins in 2008 and it was the result of the "youth" vote.  Now to prevent that happening again there is a bill in a Republican controlled Congress to actually tax the parents of kids who vote from their college address.

First, and the obvious, is Republicans voting to IMPOSE  a tax.  But more importantly, they are doing so to punish the parents of kids who vote, who typically vote Democrat.

I've voted Republican and I've voted Democrat, but I am getting so tired of these tricks by the Republicans to simply try to prevent voting.  Here's advice, how about presenting agendas that people WANT to follow.  Stop with the obstructionism.

Even though the end effect is the same, in the Republican mind, removing an income tax deduction is not the same thing as imposing a new tax.

That being said I find it hard to believe this won't be considered a poll tax and I'm pretty sure poll taxes are illegal.

Oh I doubt it would pass Constitutional muster.  It is just a shame because this party under Lincoln abolished slavery.

This party under Eisenhower encouraged a thriving middle class with a chicken in every pot and 2 cars in every garage.  Encouraging collective bargaining and had some of the highest tax rates on the wealthy than any other time all creating a tremendously florishing economy.

This party under Nixon (man his paranoia through something so needless like watergte did him in) ended a war started by Kennedy, and created the alternative minimum tax (though he blew it by not having an inflation adjustment factored in) because he saw how the rich were taking advantage of tax loopholes.

This party under Reagan helped to finally end the Cold War.

The party of the people just seems to be following the wrong Pied Piper (Norquist) and is now becoming the party for the rich and anti-government. They need to stop finding ways to prevent people from voting, and start creating an agenda that most people would want to follow.

HMM  stupid kids  brain-washed by   the  so called education establishment.

No wonder  Mcdonald's is  now  refusing  to hire cashiers who  don't  at least  have  a  bachelors of  science degree.

Meanwhile  some  32  trillions of  dollars  is   safely  hidden  from  taxation  in  sheltered  tax havens and  complex instruments meant to  hide  away  the  real  wealth.

I'm  all  for   them  not allowing  stupid  voters to vote.   Especially  given  the  results of  elections,  hell  I'd  love  for them  to stop  dead  peoples  votes  from counting  along  with  illegals.

It's  a   shame when  people  can  vote  themselves  the  redistribution  of  other people's  hard  work and incomes to  those  who's   ideas  of   work  is  looking  for  hand  outs,  charity,  and  the  ideas  that  somehow  you can  vote  your  way  into prosperity.

Supposedly  we'll have  Obama  care  next  year...   I'm  dreading  to  discover  how high  my  premiums will  reach.

Meanwhile the  me  me  me  generation  will  discover  that  the  gravy  train  of  the work  of  others  will  eventually dry up.

Meanwhile  we have  striking  fast food  workers  demanding  a  107%  wage  increase...  in  New York...

Very  rarely  will  you ever  hear  of  R's  voting  for  a  tax ?

Is this  really  a  tax ? is  it  really  fair  to  say  someone will be  taxes  if  they vote D ??

Well  if  you've  been  paying attention  thats  exactly  what  has  been  happening, but  it's  not  who  you think  or  say  is  imposing  taxes...

It's  the DEmi rats  who are  the ones  doing  the  taxing...

Meanwhile  workers  are  running away  from the work force...

Personally  I'd  love  to see  fist  fights  resolving  the  dead  lock  in  washington,  but  thats not  gonna happen just yet.

Anyways,  lets just  keep  borrowing and  spending,  and when  the  bill comes due,  simply  make  idiotic  promises or  leave without paying.
