The world is not coming to an end....and even if it was.....staying calm would be the emotion that rules the day.

This is the time that will separate top cap's players from manic depressive bipolar multi personality chimps who keep quiting everytime things don't go their way.

We will be going through very difficult times....times many of you have never experienced.   Stay focused.  Find companies with strong balance sheets and good business prospects.  Find companies trading at good values relative to the enterprise values. 

Most public HBs are hosed.  The have so much debt that most will not be able to crawl out without recapitalizing.....we have too many homes in America...until we balance inventory....for now look to American and Canadian companies that have great products that can be sold OVERSEAS!!!!!!

The world is changing fast right now....being a manic/depressvie nut job will not serve you or your family during these times. Focus on what you do well.  Keep a stash of cash and be defensive.  Look for opportunities as they present themselves and nibble into them.....and stay as far away from listening and watching people like Crammer as possible.  Good luck and happy hunting. 

My guess is within a few months I will be the biggest bull in CAPs......just not right now.  The problems are deep and profound.....as soon as I see our government taking the correct policy actions....I will change my tune.....nobody is looking forward to that day more than I am.

Don't know if that typo of Cramer's name was intentional or not, but that's hilarious either way. That moniker is so much more apropos for him, don't you think? Flipping his position every other commerical break, and cramming stuff down newbies' throats...

I'm with you, Alstry. We've got a little bit more pain to go through. I'm thinking this disaster will level off at DJIA=8000-8200 (or SPX=825-850), but the pain and fear will linger for many months after that. There will be plenty of time to shop for the bargains, just not right now.

Actually went nuts last night and almost lost it....we had thousands of kids over and they were running all over the house as parents watched the debate....something we were never permitted to do in my days.....all roughousing was limited to the basement.

However, I used the environment as training for dealing with market volitility.....nothing comes close to the chaos we had last night.

In the end...nothing that a few glasses of cheap shiraz and laughing at the two candidates couldn't settle.

THIS IS F%&IN AWESOME!!!!  And you're wrong Alstry, I've been reading all your caps, and nobody is looking forward to that day more than ME!!!
