Nokia Corporation ADR (NYSE:NOK) Reported A Profit Of €436 Million In First Half Of 2013 On €6.3 Billion In Revenue

On Thursday, the Nokia Corporation said that the new Nokia, as a stand-alone company, would have reported a profit of €436 million in first half of 2013 on €6.3 billion in revenue. Ericsson, in comparison, posted a profit of 2.7 billion Swedish kronor, or €313 million for the same time period on revenue of €12.5 billion. In the first six months of the year, competitor Alcatel Lucent SA (ADR) (NYSE:ALU), lost €1.2 billion on €6.8 billion in revenue.

Discount the $24B by subtracting the cash on hand and then subtract another $7.2B from the MSFT deal and it does look very cheap indeed. Especially when compared to valuations given to current competitors of the New Core business of Nokia.

You can play like a hater all you want but the numbers tell the real story.
