Nothing like some biting satirical humor to lighten up your day. One of the few Onion! articles that genuinely had me laughing out loud:

"At press time, Congress was reported to be hopelessly deadlocked on the word "taxes."

Well he said that was the ultimate plan.  No one expected congress to pass his bill in its entirety.  So all he can do is piecemeal it.  Until the public renders its position in 2012 elections, we are hopelessly deadlocked.

Then we will have 4 more years of deadlock, but I suspect people are angry enough that you will see a shift. I just won't gander a guess which way.

All I know is that right now the Republican candidates all look absolutely horrible.

The best candidate is Romney- and he made all his money in a private equity fund that would buy healthy businesses, layoff employees, and gut companies to extract money. http://thinkprogress.org/economy/2011/04/12/173892/romney-job-killer/

Hopefully that won't be the guy running the next four years.

He's like Danny Devito in Other People's Money.

If this is the one of the few articles on The Onion that makes you laugh, then I seriously doubt your sense of humor. This one is funny indeed, like most of the material on The Onion!
