Alstry is the first legitmate news source to call the election in favor of Obama.

I called it two years ago even before he formally announced his candicy.  I called it a year ago. I called it a month ago.  And I am calling it tonight.

In the spirit of calling it.....I am calling that through February of next year....Mohawk (MHK) will be  the best performing CAPS red thumb individual corporate name (excluding inverse ETFs) 

It lost twenty bucks a share this quarter when analysts were predicting a profit of one dollar.  It very easily could lose another $10 to $20 per share next quarter as additional hundreds of millions of dollars of goodwill will be required to be written down again.  It could run into trouble with its credit covenants as it currently has less $70 million in cash and about $3 Billion in debt and payables.

And just think, as we sit here tonight, the analysts are forecasting EARNINGS of $4 per share.  Alstry guestimates MHK will lose OVER $30 per share in 2008 as fewer and fewer buy floor coverings as the downturn persists.

The funny part is that many of MHK's analysts are the same idiots that lied to you during the entire housing downturn.  Goldberg, Zellman and the crew.......they are at it again.........can't wait to hear what they say about today's results.

i'm not as good as some with the numbers but i'll roll with BIDU also. they have so far to fall and i don't like china's chances in a recession. ridiculos price for the stock and when china rolls back it's industry to fit it's economy, it'll go down.

for the Huney (great name BTW) the phrase "level playing field" does not refer to the condition of the field but the fact that we are all on it together.

MarketBottom....I agree with you on Dell.....altough it has a lot of cash.....it is migrating its business model to a box reseller with not much value added. 

It is now competing head to head with asian manufacurers in retail and online it isn't providing much that can't easily be obtained elsewhere....especially since it is moving manufacturing overseas.

Dell seems to be heading in the same direction as Gateway, EMachines, and countless other PC makers that simply couldn't compete with the commoditization of PCs and a bloated cost structure.

You have made an excellent choice to compete with.....however, DELL's cash warchest may be too much weight for it to cross the finish line first.

The market in floor covering products could improve somewhat going forward as new home construction will be nearing a bottom soon, and remodeling always picks up when new construction slows.

And as far as Obama, McCain wins in historic landslide

Obama has been called victor for Ohio - which means he's won, because with 4 pacific states he'll get to 271.

Good call al.  I didn't thave the guts to say it publicly.  The best candidate has won this election (for the first time in 12 years).
