Of course, the most reliable source of US news, comedy shows are there first to put pressure on the legacy industries: The Onion: Mean Automakers Dash Hope For Flying Cars

Here is the story:

Debut flight of first flying car which can go from road to sky at the flick of a switch

Since man first found himself trapped in traffic jams, we have dreamed of finding a way to leave the gridlock behind.
Well dream no longer, for the world's 'first flying car' has made its debut flight, soaring over the skies of the U.S.A. before touching down and - at the touch of a button - folds its wings away and hits the highway.

The Terrafugia Transition can cruise at 115mph before driving 'at highway speeds' on the roads  - and it can be safely stored in the garage.

Great pictures and the rest of the story is here:

Here is another Carter Copter

IMO, the government should reduce its role in the economy, in our personnel lives, stop policing the world, stop "bailing out" failed companies, failed CEOs etc and "stop helping" us in general terms.
With the extra time and revenue we could focus on what is important, ie FLYING CARS!!!!!!

BONUS! 2008 Aptera Electric Car

Standing Ovation? Owww my...OK here is the crowd pleaser

Electric Car vs Ferrari vs Porshe

=======================================

FYI

I am still long Smith and Wesson.  It is up +100% since I told you Fools to buy it in Feb 09, because there is a panic into guns and ammo. Almost everything the government has been doing has just added to this panic.  Keynesian economist have a pattern that you should understand.  Credit expansion, credit contraction, then recession or depression. The Keynesian cure to the depression has been print money, confiscate assets and/or war.

I hope  at some point we can buy Flying and electric car maker and their stocks/bonds. I prefer products that IMPROVE our lives, instead of take them.

Another amazing car:

Rinspeed will present its new sQuba, the worlds first diving car, at the Geneva Motor Show (March 6-16). The car is not only able to drive on roads autonomously with a push of a button (thus without a driver, passenger or further assistance), but can also transform into an amphibious vehicle which can be submerged in water up to 10 meters (33 feet). An electric motor with powerful torque drives the rear wheels, while the propulsion on the water is ensured by two propellers in the stern and two powerful jet drives in the bow propelling the vehicle under water while diving. When underwater, the driver and passenger are enclosed in the vehicle thanks to light weight body components made of futuristic Carbon Nano Tubes and are supplied with fresh breathing air by the self-contained on-board system.

SuperPicks,

Someone complained, I was breaking Fool's Rules. I gave GoodVibe a hard time for all of his zombie account replies and receiving 30 RECs in 10 minutes or less etc....

I was not sure, thet were going to unlock it and I was not sure I was going to come back.

Welcome Back, Abit! It wasn't the same even though we got to here from AbitarePerfect. Nice call on SWHC...I wish I would have caught on to that trend as quickly as you did!

abitare,

Even though I didn't agree with you per se...

I still think it is beyond absurd they lock down your account for that reason :-/

Alcon,

Thank you for the replies. Good to be back.

JGus,

The gun craze is real and has real traction. I cannot say I really am impressed with three choices of publically traded gun makers. But I am a "buy and holder" of SWHC. I think the story has a year or so before we will know the limits of the stock.

kdakota630,

To be honest I have posted most of these videos before. I just think it is important for Fools to know, there are many postitive things going on beyond the insanity of DC and Wall Street. The real economy will produce great produsts if you let it.

whereaminow,

That is disappointing that the CAPS system will target certain accounts & lock them out, simply due to a complaint over expression of ideas on the CAPs community.

What a bad week to be locked out too, so many swings in the market which Abitare could have taken advantage of.

I hope if anything, your resolve is simply sharpened & you aim to perform better with all your endeavors & surpass your normal rate of performance beyond the point if you had not lost that week.  Better blog posts, better picks/scoring, and even better performance on life in general outside CAPs.

I'm net long on firearms through RGR & OLN longs & SWHC short.  The SWHC short component has gone 15% above my sell price as of today =o  On a net basis, i'm still green though.  And yes, I am aware the majority of OLN's business is not involved with firearms.  I like these picks much better than gold right now which I am thinking about shorting again possibly soon.

Wow. Is the flying cars for real? I think the most critical part of this flying car would be the Transfer Case Electrical Switch. If this will malfunction, then it could be the end..
