One HUGE Ghost Town

September 12, 2008 – Comments (2)

“‘The guy who parties the hardest will have the biggest hangover,’ he said. ‘We estimate 67,000 homes were built in Arizona that didn’t have population living in them. Basically, we built a ghost town.’”

This problem is sounding all over the nation.  67,000 homes.  67,000 mortgages.  Now the state budgeted for a population that isn't there and the revenues are not coming in......the deficit will only grow larger and larger.  Sure we could bring in immigrants.....the problem is where are the jobs as companies downsize?

the scrapyards, the arsonists, or the squatters?
