Let's just assume recent market volatilty is driving you to drink and that you've recently overimbibed. What's your remedy of choice? Let me know in the comments!
Water in the short run. After things stabilize a bit, really spicy food. (Like the Green Death breakfast burrito that can ignite newspaper from 20 feet away.)
Pedialyte, water and greasy eggs. Does the trick every time.
1) Water 2) Alleve 3) Fat (bacon & eggs, chburger & fries, etc.)
My dad swore by flat red birch beer (its a type of soda), but its increasingly hard to find.
Personally I go for simple liquids either water or flat ginger ale. and I for some reason have a real affinity for donusts and pastries, just avoid those that are too greasy.
My preferred method is to just drink some water and then go to sleep until it goes away, however long it takes.
I usually just drink some water before I turn in and rarely have any hangover. In fact, I usually wake up feeling super rested & energized. It's odd, really. My friends hate me.
AA. After drinking for 25+ years, I got sick of (and from) it and have been "dry" for six years now. If you want to drink, prepare to pay the consequences ...
Giant sloppy-assed bowl of cheese-topped pasta with a huge glass of water and a film festival on TV with vigorous napping bouts.
A couple glasses of V8 and some ginger capsules before going to bed, to help avoid the hangover. People really should avoid pain killers after heavy drinking, since your liver and stomach lining have already been heavily taxed by the alchohol.
Oh, and ChannelDunlap, I have a fried just like you, and I hate him to.
# 7 - Ditto. When I used to drink to excess I would finish the night with approximately 16 ounces of ice water and two ibuprofin/asperin/acetaminophen.
Pedorrero, congratulations on your sobriety.
Low interest rates and high deficit spending.
The night before: Aspirin (chewed) and a couple of big glasses of water. The next day: A hot bath (better than the shower for hangover), a diet (or regular) Pepsi and spicy fairly fatty food in rapid succession.
That said it's been a long time since I've had to employ the remedy but it helped my Mom who had too much champagne after a family wedding a few years ago.
Ah yes, that was the government's favorite remedy for an economic hangover...
For a human kind, I like a powerade and a multi-vitamin...
Glad I started this thread. Our move in college was gatorade and golf on the television. We found all of the green on the screen and soft announcer voices soothing.
Pedialyte has 4 times the electrolytes of Gatoraide, and is the preferred post-race beverage for ultra-marathoners. I've found that the apple flavor mixes nicely with vodka.

Cato be careful acetaminophen and booze don't mix well, bad for the liver.
As far as hangovers go.... Just grab another BUD
