People rioting on food prices = Great news for fertilizer stocks

February 18, 2011 – Comments (2) | RELATED TICKERS: AGU , POT , CF

But you wouldn't know it by looking at today's prices for fertlizer stocks.

The only way to lower food prices without clearing more land for farmland is to buy more fertilizer to increase yield of crops per acre of land.

So since this is a bull market what do you do when your growth stocks are down?

You buy more shares.

AGU down -2.89

POT down -3.05

MOS down -1.22

CF down -6.30

TNH up +0.49

Wow telling you fellow fools about a bargain leads to an even bigger bargain. I guess the old saying never look a gift horse in the mouth is true.

AGU now down much further -3.68 after posting.

I don't know whether to thank you for much cheaper calls or to wonder why in the world would you be shorting fertilizer stocks just before planting season.
