Alstry, I have the perfect stock to combat the FU virus (on an individual level though): FUQI. Wanna get back at those evil shorts who’ve been robbing you of your hard earned money for so long. Join the FUQI parade! You’ll have to use your imagination a bit though and replace the “Q” in FUQI with “shorts.”

Translation comes out as FU “shorts” signed I (or me).

Nice investment also, selling at around cash (or gold), making money, and in China.

How is that guy going to use this post to push a company called Fuqi International.  What is this, Google Finance?

I meant no offense and wasn't trying to pump the stock per se. I’ll try to spell out my (tortuous) logic for you:

FUQI broken down into its constituent parts:

Forward = FUQ --- I (long)

Backward = Thank You (short)

I find this humorous as it is a company involved with gift giving to those who one loves.

The title of the post is “People saying FU to Governments.” I also find this humorous as this company is based in China. Is China saying FU to the American people (ADR name is FUQI)? The world of international intrigue and the meaning (if any) that can be garnered from such meditations is beyond me but I can say the following:

FU --- Q --- I

We all know the meaning of FU.

A “Q” security clearance is our nations top security clearance (so secret that not many even know what it is).

I, well what more need be said.

I am also a hardcore Star Trek fan and can say that I do not in the least enjoy the very concept of a “Q.”
