This is a great opportunity to pick up some producers before they go back up. This IS the dip you've been waiting for.

My friend is going to the gold and silver exchange today to load up. If only I had more cash free, silver is at $41.65 right now.

Jbay76, I bought Impact @ $2.70, then is started sliding. *groan* At the moment I'm tapped out, too, or I'd be buying more at this discount. I'll just have to keep an eye on things. It should go up, but how long that will take is a mystery.

rfaramir, I understand the desire to scoop up the actual PMs. Beyond a few old coins I don't have any for investment purposes. I feel better owning the producers. It's just my preferrence. Hopefully you'll come across a long forgotten piggy bank to help you make your purchase.

It's less an "investment", as it doesn't earn a dividend or have a cash flow, as much as it is a self-insurance. Whether for when TSHTF or mere tide-over during job loss, I'm trying to work up to a few months salary. Then go back to balance paying off debts and investing in miners (and a few solid others: AAPL, CMG, DO, XOM) for "real" investments.

They're also cool as birthday and Christmas gifts. (Note to self, brother's birthday just passed...) Brings up economic topics at family get togethers in a positive context (who's going to look a gift horse in the mouth? and they *will* be curious), even politics if family relationships allow it.
