The Republicans better come up with a positive message for the future with specific recommendations, or they are dead meat for November.
Simply screaming "failed leadership" won't cut it.
What do you think of this post-election scenerio:
Business community sees Republicans as pro-business. So, if they win, businesses will release some of the billions of dollars they have withheld for the last 2 years, at least in the short run. If there is continued stalemate in Washingston, businesses will continue to hold on to their money, and the economy will continue to run on near-empty.
The Democrats, too, tried that tactic of screaming "failed leadership" in 2004. It didn't work then, either.
But that's the problem with where our political system has taken us...both sides simply point to the other and say "you should vote for us because they're even worse". Who cares about solutions...we've got emotionally charged rhetoric!
Unfortunately the 2 party system is at a real low. It has completely gridlocked Congress. If one party controls one house that is it.
