Sorry to go all ChickenLittle on ya.

When I think abought the digital age, I think about opportunity. Maybe you can find that next great Company which will thrive in the "digital age"

The digital age to me is just the advancement of technology. So it's my job to find those companies, it has nothing to do with rolling up into the fetal position.

Theres lots of stuff out there like RIFD chips, body scanners at airports, at some point I believe we will all be chipped and have a bar code on our necks. Am I happy about this... NO but why would I turn my back on reality.

From cloud computing you'll be able to click your APPL phone and get a virtual T.V wherever your at.

Cash will be nonexsistent, You'll either have to swipe your phone or like I said some sort of barcode stamped upon you. The transaction will be processed by (V) visa the barcodes will be provided by (ZRBA) zebra technologies.

And people will drink (BUD:)

But just because things are changing that does'nt lend me to fear. If we never changed we would still be in the stone age.

Alright Al I can see your argument coming.

Do you really think there will be general private property rights in the world you describe.....?  You are describing the evaporation of private property rights....

Amazing how dense some people can be about what is going on around them.......

I like your attitude. +1

We'll definitely have implanted GPS chips, barcodes on necks or foreheads, unremovable blood tracers, brain scanners that upload activity to a central NSA-style database where criminal and mischievous patterns can be "taken care of," and hypnotically-charged minds that will respond to the New Order's orders.

Hopefully, we'll be able to upgrade our modifications to include some sort of hormonal drips that make us feel happy and strong.  You know how you can get a protein or wheatgrass boost at Jamba juice?  Maybe we'll be able to purchase adrenalin or morphine boosts.  Dude, this is gonna be AWESOME!

Without question, this will all be in place by Dec 31, 2012.  No doubt about it.  The best part of all---think about how many new jobs we'll have producing all this stuff!

Hi, Al. I was hoping you'd chime in.

No I am not describing private property rights. My Capatalist view would be to buy real estate right now.

And I think I described it nicely, not densely

Keep your capitalist view.....never let it burn out.......it was what Alstry's blog was all about.......

but by your silence when we bailed out wall street and let mainstreet still suffer under massive debt.....capitalism died in America.....you just don't know it yet...

my guess is you have never owned a business in your life...nor have you really had to compete......

but just a guess;)

Yes you are correct!

nor have you really had to compete......

Welp your dead wrong about that. Dude, I've had to compete my whole life. And that does'nt change, every day I'm competing.

How do you think I still have a job over the guys that got laid off?

So dude....capitalism is all about owning a business and private property........that is where the competition is in capitalism....so YOU REALLY have never had to compete as it relates to capitalism

and when the playing field is rigged....you can't compete...but you can't know that and I don't hold it against you...even as I slap you around for your own good....if capitalism is the path you say you defend...

Some American kids once beat the Russians in a hockey game....and eventually won a gold medal.....they competed coming from a capitalist economy...but the Russians also competed coming from a communist economy.....

so please don't confuse competing.....with capitalist competing.....dude.

And as far as the "other" guys being laid off....what if your company goes bankrupt and EVERYONE gets laid off....then what, are you going to cry foul.....

or what if most people in your town get fired...like is happening in many towns in America....and the government is forced to tax you everything you have to keep the town open.....are you going to run?

Run where.......?

I have blogged it a thousand times...

The solution is to restructure the debt over the people....just like we restructured the debt to Wall Street and the bankers....

Why can't you borrow on your home at 3/4% just like Walmart?  Or why can't you get a million dollar bonus just like an insolvent banker?...you think they are any better than you?

The solution is easy....it is just that is not the goal of Washington and Wall Street....the collapse of the system is the goal....and it is now my job to help prepare you for it....

I'd like to add one more thing.

Alstry your call of the crash was spot on, but your mistake was not changing that call at the bottom.

So it seems that if people had listened to you before the crash they would've saved their nest eggs. Kudos

Now on the other hand, if people had listened to my call that it was time to buy at the bottom they would have made a lot of money. (I probably should have blogged about it three times a day : )

So my point is, if you keep on crying wolf how will people know when it's really time to get out?

Regards.

Um, we are not at the bottom. What you felt was an intermediate bump, thanks to government TARP/stimulus/QE/bailout/FOMC---all artificial BS and all making the market less stable and any true recovery at this point impossible.  Many of those who "made a lot of money" will lose a lot of money when the stock market returns to where it should be (DOW 4000? Dow 1000? Dow 6000? I dont know) or hyperinflates to worthlessness.

alstry is right on the money.  Most people don't realize we are in a Depression.  Don't expect to hear the D word on TV, though.

Billy I'm going back to 2008.

Dow at 14,000

Alstry says down. Excellant Call.

Dow in the 6,000 range.

I said  up.

So no the question is? where are we going from here- My guess is we'll see the 10,000-12-000 range from here.

Oh! and in case your not aware I've been accussed of watching the ticker many times.

I can't explain it here, to many numbers, but we are not entering into a new depression.
