President B.O.'s Opinion on the Stock Market

March 03, 2009 – Comments (3)

No, president B.O. is not giving stock advice. The headlines are saying that, but all he really said was... well, let's go to the tape.

"What you’re now seeing is profit and earning ratios are starting to get to the point where buying stocks is a potentially good deal, if you've got a long-term perspective on it..."

He also says that the market is like a political opinion poll. If you pay attention to the fluctuations every day, you get the policy wrong.

Exactly right. Bravo, President B.O.

I don't expect people to listen to you on this one right now, because fear is in the driver's seat. I'm sure he's going to steer us into a ditch again. But sooner or later, we'll catch a tow, get things patched up, and be back.

No doubt, stocks outperform bonds over a 55 year period. Stocks will recover in my kid or grandkids lifetime.

I believe our President to be a very intelligent man.  Doesn't mean he knows diddly about stocks.
