The entry point may result in defferent outcome of your investment.
People who bought InterMune, Inc. (ITMN) after it collapsed in early May last year may have seen good profit, but those who bought it in last April may still be in the mud.
Timing makes a big difference while trading stocks. This is why I am introducing Provectus Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (PVCT) at this moment. Two approaching Catalysts may make it a good timing to consider PVCT.
Provectus Pharmaceuticals specializes in developing oncology and dermatology therapies. The company has five drug candidates in the pipeline: PV-10 for melanoma, breast cancer, liver metastasis and PH-10 for psoriasis and atopic dermatitis.
*PV-10 for melanoma phase 2 study was completed in May 2010 and the positive data was presented at ASCO 2010 annual meeting. A Phase 3 study is expected to begin in early 2011 according to the company’s future plan.
Sunesis Pharmaceuticals, Inc (SNSS) soared from previous low $0.29 to previous high $0.61 because the company started launching phase 3 VALOR trial of Vosaroxin in AML. We may see a same rally on PVCT.
PVCT has received orphan drug designation from the FDA for its melanoma indication.
*PV-10 for liver metastasis phase 1 study was initiated in Oct 2009, and the primary completion date is expected to be in this month according to clinicaltrials.gov (NCT00986661).
Positive data not only can have a positive effect on the company’s share price, but also will drive up the interest of a potential partnership.
As of September 30, 2010, PVCT had cash and cash equivalents $10,044,516. The company believed that they had enough cash on hand to fund operations until 2012 in the last quarterly report.
So will it be a good timing for a company which is financially stable and has a robust pipeline like PVCT? The question will be answered.
