Pumping Earth Biofuels

So, having the flu makes you realize just how bad TV is, and just what a waste of money that expensive cable turns out to be. I found myself watching HD PBS, and a gawd-awful show called "America's Heartland" or something similar came on, waxing tearful about family farms, tractors, you know, all those myths that keep our tax dollars raining down on sub-par businesses all over the midwest.

Then, to my amazement, there was a story pumping earth biofuels, complete with Shameless Willie Nelson and Morgan Freeman hyping this junkpile in front of a banner featuring the scam's billboard ticker symbol. Do the "journalists" producing these fluff pieces even bother to do basic research on the companies they're praising?

Nice picture! The putz "photojournalist" who came back to the local rag with that awful setup shot should knock himself on the head 10 times with a 300 f/2.8. There's no excuse for that kind of garbage.

And thanks, Tomnsung... I'll see if I get that channel next time I need to spend the day on the couch coughing up the lung butter.
