I'm in the market to buy a house. How can I tell if the drywall is that toxic Chinese stuff that ruined homes of recent construction?

If the home was built between 2004 & 2007 there might be the possibility of bad drywall.

Before buying any home you should hire an inspector and ask specifically to check for this along with everything else.

The seller should also know. Ask. Trust but verify, ala the inspection.
