Let's see ... Toyota uses proprietary electronics and software ... rather than mechanical systems to activate throttle and braking....
Hmmmmm! I remember the drug scares where individuals "tampered" with over the counter medications to "blackmail" the drug companies, and to take advantage of the stock market's proclivity to SELL on bad news by selling calls and buying puts.
Has a "disgruntled" current, or former, employee, or a hacker, figured out, and HACKED, the software ... causing Toyota's current predicaments? Can't replicate the trouble? Hmmm! Does the simple act of turning off the engine after an incidence ... wipe out evidence of a hack?
Do we NOW need MacAfee or Norton's virus protections for the software of our cars? If so? What's next?
