IMO: "unstoppable decline of the United States" is related to decline of power of US government abroad. Why Americans should care about that? Probably, it is just transformation. US is following GB. And GB is 40 years ahead on the road to socialized continental Europe. I see no alternatives.
P.S. rise of Soviet Union? Russia? no any rise! huge problems they are facing. as well as India and China. only China has had potintial chance (not to big) to keep superpower under management.So, few decades of multi polar (fractionated) world we will face
