Nominate someone that appeals the the far right who you know will get thrown off the ticket.  Within 24 hours anyone could have found out simply by reading the local paper that this "pro life" women got on a 10 hour commerical flight while in labor with a high risk pregnancy and belonged to an organization that wanted to serparate Alaska from the rest of the US as the slogan for the campaign is Country First.

Seriously, who does McCain think he is kidding throwing this very nice, well spoken and attractive woman to the wolves.  That shows exactly what McCain is made of and what he is willing to sacrifice to get his ends.

Lieberman would have been too liberal to pick out of the gate upsetting the evangelical base.....but now he has done his "duty" and she just didn't work out since the pro lifer was really a pro fetal risk taker....oh well....time for Lieberman...at least we know where he stands and and pick up some important states?

How hard is it to see this????

Republican or Democrat Economy?????

Sept. 3 (Bloomberg) -- GMAC LLC and its Residential Capital LLC home lending unit plan to fire 5,000 employees, or 60 percent of the staff, and close all 200 GMAC Mortgage retail offices because of weak real estate markets.

GMAC has lost money for four straight quarters, with a $2.5 billion loss in the most recent period that included a $1.86 billion deficit at ResCap. The unit once ranked among the largest U.S. subprime home lenders, and GMAC had to arrange a $60 billion refinancing package in June to keep ResCap solvent.

60% OF THE WORKFORCE!!!!!!!

As I said in an earlier post, expect layoffs and unemployment to skyrocket in Q3....how will our paygo entitlement system keep going if few are paying taxes?????

Alstry can you please stick to the end of world this and that stuff.

Seeing you blatantly attack this woman is sad.

Wait until she tears Biden a new cornhole, before you start trying to take her down.

My money is on her in a meaningful debate with Biden.

Or at least pile on to the N word debate.

No attack....simply stating the fact that one has to question the judgment of a prolife person getting on a commercial flight after starting labor.

Otherwise, from this perspective she is a well spoken babe and a lot better to look at and listen to compared to Hillary.  Give me Sarah anyday.

No this is a flea flicker that has fooled the defense and results in a touch down.

This has solidified the party, all the while the other party is in splinters.

Its too bad that Ron Paul doesn't seek to fix things from within the party, not everyone needs to agree on things, but what should be in agreement by both dems and reps is that Obama compared to Mccain is no comparison.

Its time to put country first, not self interests, not special interests, not business as usual.

Its time to put a woman past the glass ceiling, its time to stop fear mongering and blogging about irrelevant issues.

Just when you think you know Mccain, just when you think, you soon realize that you had it all wrong and you will look back and say wow what conviction and what a play.

I know McCain....he is a jerk....who the hell would initiate plans for a new marriage before telling his current wife who was disfigured in a car accident and who waited faithfully for years while he was a POW that he is going to divorce her?????

You think McCain gives a damm for a woman he has only met once in his life????

A politician, democrat or republican would betray his mother if it would further his agenda.

Are you really that gullible in real life????

In this video take a look at McCain's body language. Something is off.

I'm with Alstry on this one. Sure it's a reach, but I just don't get what sense it makes to have her as VP. He needs to be taking care of America's major issues, not training her on how to be a VP.

You guys are all wrong.  Sarah Palin is NOBODY's limp wristed fall-guy.  And just because you guys have never heard CNN talk about her DOES NOT mean she's new to the political scene.  Don't believe the hype.  She is not an "unknown commodity" like they want you to believe. (If you're still getting your news from MSM, God help you.)  She has been a leading Republican candidate for VP at least a year.

Last summer, June 2007, people in Ron Paul meetup groups were begging RP to announce her as his running mate because we knew she was a vote getter.

And don't be naive Alstry about the plane thing.  She knew her baby, knows her body.  You don't need a friggin' doctor to sign off on your every move after four previous deliveries.  I ran 35 - 40 miles a week  when I was pregnant with my second child.  You figure these thing out after a while.  After all, how did women do it for the thousands of years prior to 20th century medicine?

Actually, when in Sarah's state getting on a commercial airline....you do need doctor's permission...and even with doctor's permission most airlines would refuse you on board as you pose a risk to the baby, yourself, and the passengers.....please feel free to confirm this yourself.

As far as Lieberman....it is common knowledge that is who McCain wanted....the party just wouldn't allow it.

Only last month, friends say, Mr. McCain wanted to reach beyond his base and ask Mr. Lieberman to be his running mate; in that instance, though, party influence proved too strong, with many Republican officials and delegates insisting they would reject Mr. Lieberman because of his support for abortion rights and some gay rights laws.

McCain has a history of catching and releasing women....you think Sarah is any different from any of the other snapper he has caught???

The snapper comment should only be applied to McCain's seeming perspective and history in dealing with women that have entered and exited his life....in no way does it go the woman herself.

McCain is a big boy with a hot temper....he seeming has matured a bit post seventy.......actually much of Palin's political views....absent the personal stuff, are a perspective I respect and I think she might have even made a better running mate for Ron Paul who I prefer over the currrent two non choice choices.
