Request for Interview and My Free ZippyTrade

April 01, 2011 – Comments (23)

Fools, just want to support Joe Steinhardt's request to interview willing CAPS members as part of his graduate student research into investing psychology.  Joe's a good guy and we received great feedback from those who participated in his first round of research last year.  If you'd be willing to have Joe interview you about your approach to investing and use of CAPS, please email him at:  jsteinh@gmail.com

His original request can be found here.

And now, in the spirit of The Motley Fool's big announcement and the release of our new active trading platform Zippy Trade 2000, here's my Zippy Trade of the day:

I'm going to buy LOGI below 15.50 and sell above 16.00.  I forecast that I will be able to get in and out by market close today.  Look for the breakout move above 16 starting around 3 p.m.  This trade alert is only intended for those who are active traders in today's market and no action should be taken after market close today, 04/01/11.  As always, please don't look to me for any advice on making any investments with your own money.

FWIW, I'm still getting the hang of this Zippy Trade 2000 style of investing, so I'm just going to trade using the Zippy Trade Simulator and not use actual $$.  Virtual toast to simulated profits!!

Darn, taking too long to get to $16 just sold the 100k shares at $15.10 for a a tidy .7% profit in just under 30 minutes.  Annualized that is like...gosh a whole lotta money...keep the Zippy trades coming.

ZippyTrade 2000 suck!  I bout another 100k at 14.96 sold at 14.98 all was going great going to be a gazilliionaire by the end of next week, but then I bought 200k shares at 14.96 went outside for a smoke break and the darn system automatically sold at 14.91 wiping out all of my profits for the day.  What kind of junk is the Fool peddling?  I demand a refund.

ZippyTrade 2000(TM) is teh suk!

Bought 59K of LOGI @ $15.03. Wanted to sell all @ $15.99 but my modem got disconnected. You said it works on dial-up but what if my modem hangs up? Huh? I lost my $$. Watched the VHS to claim refund but only leads me to website that I used to place order for ZippyTrade 2000(TM).

This prodcut is total suk! Do not buy!

I'm now off to drown my sorrows with my eMeringue I received yesterday from my order 6 years ago!

Are you kidding me.  This is setting up perfectly.  I'll keep loading up below 15 and will sell out by close somewhere between 15.50 - 16.00.  Look at the chart.  Just look at the friggin chart.

Rimmer, I'm on my lunch break and am in the game.  Here's the playbook:

1.  Re-tweet a link to the LOGI sales warning.

2.  Buy the dip. I've been in at 14.91, 14.93, and 14.95

3.  Sell the bounce.  Out at 14.93, 14.95, and 14.97.

Wash, rinse, and repeat.

Does ZippyTrade have an auto-donate function?  Since I have forsworn material wealth, I invest solely for intellectual exercise and donate all gains to my favorite charity, the William Rogers Institute for Common Sense.  I'm concerned that without the ability to automatically donate all gains, ZippyTrade will make so much money for me that I will be tempted to indulge in worldly excesses like meat and warm clothes.

LOL, they need to invent a word so these HFT-programs can be rated...something like kiloTrades or MegaTrades per minute.

Zippy Trade is awesome!!  But - I made so much money that the number of zeros in the account balance blew past what the brokerage computer could handle.

Alas, it set everything back to zero, just like the odometer on an old car rolling over.

You really need to put a stop trading limit in Zippy Trade that shuts it down at a terabuck.
