To be a successful trader....you must develop the right skill set.  Mental Control has to be right up there with understanding the fundementals and technicals.  If you can filter out the noise from the substance......you are halfway to the finish line.

yes. control.

alstry, i have noticed a greater amount of emotionality in my community (Va. Beach). i've only been here 8 months and don't know a lot of folks but people are upset. quitting their jobs(!). argueing amongst themselves and scrambling. as houses in my neighborhood go up for sale or are foreclosed, i have seen yelling matches on the streets. many people were exubarant at the elections and then less so at the holidays. now they seem to be fearful, depressed, and angry. that's a lot of emotions over 3 months.

maybe the bad news about the economy is filtering down to the masses. or maybe the depth of the effects are just being realized...

last year, for the first time, i purchased firearms and began training with them.

last week i got body armor. i don't think i'll need it, but it was an opportunity i don't get often and i decided it might be a useful addition to my tools. you do remember that i teach martial arts for fun and profit don't you?

control.

i am not fearful. there will be tough times ahead, maybe very tough times, but i remain calm and vigilent. and in control with my emotions. i am not surprised at what happens, thanks partly to you sir.

life is good. today i made beef stew and a savory cornbread.

on a personal note, the music clip was cool. who knew (besides mrs. alstry) that you were so hip? i was reminded of "The Taking of Pelham123", a film born out of the economic crises of the 1970s. Robert Shaw was sooooooo tough in it. Walter Mathauw was so together in an old school way.

but if you really want to enjoy a performer dancing and singing in a room in black and white, may i suggest "Single Ladies" by Beyonce'?
