I HATE how the other candidates are just sitting there, looking at him like he's an idiot. It's almost as if they know everything he says is true, but realize no one is paying any attention. They all just grin smugly and watch, while Cooper asks dumb questions to try and shift the debate to a series of overblown non-issues.

Pay attention America, these people are your leaders.  You put them there (though the manipulative media outlets sure helped), now get them the hell OUT.  Politics in this country are so broken it's embarassing, and I'm ashamed to admit citizenship. The electoral process we claim makes us "free" has become little more than a dog and pony show for the megalomaniacal power-greedy and the middle and lower classes who don't vote (or vote simply by party, without care at all for what these people actually stand for) are simultaneously the ones responsible and the ones who suffer. But I guess that's alright, American Idol is FINALLY back in season.

The upcoming election is going to be VERY important, and hopefully people begin to take notice in the coming months.

The amount of people in the audience cheering on Paul's contentious statements gives me at least a little hope.

mingusdew,

No worries. Yep, McSane and Willard pretending Dr Paul was the crazy one. But Dr Paul has won almost all the debates against those guys> Dr Paul is just a lot smarter, honest and more educated.

Take a look at the comments on digg:

by JlmAWP 22 hours ago I hate how McCain smirks. I just wanna slap him. +700 diggs

by kaelyiesta on 01/31/2008 Anyone else feel dirty after seeing Romney grinning? +565 diggs

by Conway 21 hours ago NO way in hell am I voting for McCain or Romney. Smug arseholes. +431 diggs

by RPliberty 20 hours ago The economy needs major surgery not a 150 billion dollar bandaid. +418 diggs

by TheTaoOfBill 19 hours ago I love how arrogant Romney came off on the would Reagan endorse you. "Absolutely"

Yeah real easy to claim he would endorse you when he's dead. Ron Paul and Huckabee gave the best answers for the question. How can they claim a dead man would endorse them.

You might as well ask them if Jesus would endorse them. +392 diggs

by davidg11 19 hours ago You know Ron Paul did his best performance when he addressed the pettiness of CNN and Romney and McCain all in one shot. He said basically they both agreed to be in the war, so who gives a rats ass about timetables and semantics. The issue should be FOREIGN POLICY. That's what Ron needs to do...attack those two playground bullies with something they both don't have: intellect. +344 diggs

by koicho on 01/31/2008 Why was NONE of that shown in the coverage?!? Seriously... if you got nothing to hide, then why are you hiding it?! +294 diggs

by manstein01 16 hours ago Paul is just making way too much sense to ever be elected.

"It's not the President's job to manage the economy." I could feel people's heads explode that statement. +267 diggs

by TheWorkz 19 hours ago Why is it that the two people who are least sleezy are the ones who got the least airtime? I watched this last night and was really disappointed that they screwed Paul and Huckabee over by giving them roughly 10 minutes a piece in a 1 hour 30 minute debate. It really says a lot...

I think it's funny that they asked the question, "Well, what makes you the expert on economics?"

LOL... I've heard that in debates before whenever a person makes an intelligent & valud arguement and the other person has nothing equal to counter. "So, Dr. Ron Paul, what makes you the expert on economics?"

Unfortunately, Ron Paul isn't a great debater. He is a very intelligent person who is sharing his important ideas. The ideas we all need to discuss and stop acting like Russia in the 70's-80's before the collapse of their economy and that we are mighty and can never fall.

He's just not convincing enough to the average person with little knowledge about these subjects, and I bet what he says sounds so alien to people that they think he's just making it up. I think that's why the other candidates laugh. Because they know people can't handle the real truth.

I think I have some advice for his campaign that might help his ratings with the typical voter:

Question: "Candidate Paul, what do you think about the economy?"

Answer: "9/11 happened"

Question: "Candidate Paul, what do you think about Iraq?"

Answer: "Did you know that 9/11 happened 6 1/2 years ago and that people are forgetting such a tradjedy?"

Question: "Candidate Paul, what do you think about the U.S. policies dealing with foreign relations?"

Answer: "9-11"

I bet his ratings would improve and he'll be the next president...
