Congressman Paul reports on Bernie Sanders selling out the Fed transparency amendment on the Senate floor.

Some excerpts from the video:

I’m not a bit surprise that the Federal Reserve got to the Senate …

At the last minute (Sanders) switched it and watered it down (the Senate version of the House Audit the Fed amendment) and, really, it (Sander’s bait and switch bill 604) adds nothing; there’s a possibility that it even makes current conditions worse…

This is so disappointing…I’ve worked for months with Bernie on this.   We don’t want this (Bernie’s) version… We need to know what the Open Market Committee does, we need to know what [the Fed] is doing overseas with the agreements with central banks and financial institutions and other governments… this bill (604) does not include this…

It shows what kind of forces we’re up against… The President doesn’t want this (the House 1207 audit version)… the leadership on Wall Street doesn’t want it, the Federal Reserve doesn’t want it.  They’re powerful forces.   But just think of all the people who do want it…from progressives and liberal Democrats, to libertarians and Constitutionalists, the average person and so many of the tea party members…they all want to find out what’s going on at the Fed…

So many representatives and senators, yet only one Ron Paul. The rest are on 'the other side'. How the hell did things get this way, and how the hell does a Ron Paul make it to office anyway? I mean how did a real person slip through the cracks?... It's almost hard to believe. Every other congressman is SOOOOOOO fake, it's sinful. But this guy actually thinks he is a Republican?!?! So he associates with these vermin, is surrounded by them, but he is our white knight in the truth business, for those of us who have any use for it anymore...?

Someone like Ron Paul should be running for an office that does not currently exist! there's no room for truth in politics, even when you think the truth comes out, it is just a ploy to popularize the other side so we can sail the ship of state against the wind of public opinion.
