You can not help but be interested in the news makers of hedge fund gurus of the likes of Bill Ackman and Carl Icahn who hedge using other rich peoples money in their funds. Now these two are a little different than the many other hedge funds out there who consistently loose to the market versus the S&P. A company is giving me day trading margin even though I do not meet the 25k minimum. It says I have 3 biz days in 5 day biz day period to do day trading. Any more than 3 and its called day tradering pattern which requires me to deposit 25k or they freeze my account for pattern day trading except for besides selling what I own for 6months as required by the rules of the SEC.

What is the plan for this week? Spec play, I think I don't trust it and will see that the DOW retreats' after a little bit of a high today. But, a drop like 1K in 10minutes does not build my confidence in the current market. Should the EU, or is it our FED, injecting money to buy bad debt help or hurt confidence in the market for the current duation of a few weeks or months?

EverydayInvestor is right, don't have stop loss limits.

It is stated as being one of the reasons for a no reasonable drop of 1k in the DOW yesterday. It was for less than 10minutes and all the exchanges canceled trades for any over 60% after 2:30pm.

I am a little bit weary about investing long term in other stocks till the EU comes back with safety net for Greece, Spain, & Portugal wow...keep adding Iceland, Ireland, any one else? Can anyone tell me which way they think the market is going for the next couple of months or weeks? Thanks in advance.
