I have never felt so passionate about my country or a stock. Read this article right now. It's more important than whatever you're doing.

If you drink beer, I implore you not to read this, but to drink it in with your heart. Your all AMERICAN heart. And as you would with a Sam variety pack, share generously.

Please comment on the comment section of the article itself and feel free to take me on, if you have the intellectual cojones.

OK, I'll take you up on your challenge. Shooting from the hip:

1) Beer is German, not American. American beers were almost all brewed by German immigrants. There goes your "patriotic" view...

2) When talking about Miller and Bud, you say: "We loved them not just for their taste...". Really? Who loves Miller and Bud for their taste? Aren't these beers at the receiving end of the joke: "What do having sex in a canoo and drinking Miller/Bud have in common? Both are f@cking close to water!"

3) You seem to implore the globalization of the beer market. But isn't this the way all markets have been going, pretty much since Adam Smith? Why would beer be any different? Does it not make business sense for beer companies to go global? Just like it makes business sense for, say, Coke?

4) Sam Adams is a great beer. I drink it on a regular basis. But they are on-record as wanting to stay relatively small. Their market share in the US is under 1%, and they like to keep it that way to preserve the quality of their workmanship. Good for them, great for me as a consumer, but maybe not so good if you are an investor...

Leo -

I need a big favor. Can you copy and paste this to the blog of the actual article. That is where the action goes down. I promise to respond with the vigor this comment has so well-earned.

Truly,
