SCCO to benefit from FCX diworsification ;)
Both SCCO and FCX had similar trading ranges for a while until FCX annonced it's recent aquisitions....now I think all the money flowing out of FCX is going straight into SCCO as a pure play on copper.
These aquisitions raise a few questions....does management think the assets purchased are cheap relative to future value or do they think the copper business is not going to prosper as much?
I've been a long time shareholder of SCCO across both investment and retirement accounts and think the prospects of copper are a promising long term investment. Projections for 2013 point towards a shortage so if everything pans out it's a good place to park your hard earned $$.
