Shame on Yahoo

May 08, 2012 – Comments (1)

As many of you are aware, it's come to light that Yahoo's new CEO, Scott Thompson, stated that he had a degree in both computer science and accounting. However, he only has a degree in the latter.

Yahoo is apparently weighing options in this case. I'll help: option one is to fire him immediately, and option two is to ask him to step down. He's already come out against option two, though.

I acknowledge that Yahoo's leadership has been in flux. And I acknowledge that in some way, formal qualifications can be BS.  But there is no way that Thompson can ever gain the trust of workers or investors now that everyone knows he's a liar. I don't think that Yahoo is really viable as a going concern (not that it's going to go bankrupt, it's just not going to perform up to par for quite some time). So, given that, they might as well fire Thompson and take the time to get a new CEO.

Something just doesn't smell right about all this...the question that bugs me is why would he lie?  What does he have to gain from this lie?

Looks like additional news just came out...he has Cancer!
