Should investors want their CEOs to be likable?

August 26, 2008 – Comments (2)

I recently participated in a debate about whether managers should be seek to be likable. I'm wondering what others think. Should we, as investors, seek to invest in likable management teams? Can we be content with draconian jerks? Thinking aloud because there may be a follow-up article to be had.

Foolish best,

yeah i think as an investor, I don't give a crap whether I would want the man over for dinner.  I want him to make the right choices and make me money.
