Starbucks plans to close 300 more shops as profit drops

Starbucks posts decline in profit, revenue; will cut nearly 7,000 jobs

Remember folks, there is only about 150 million people employed in America.

80,000 let go on Monday and about 40,000 announced today.  20,000 between Boeing, SAP, and Starbucks alone.  I am hearing about tens of thousands of other job losses that are not making the press.

I am not sure how you can have inflation if few are working........but we shall see.....especially once the States start laying off.

Sometimes I go with slightly less milk so it's got a little darkness to it. Gotta have all the sugary sweetness though ;). Even better if there is whipped cream and sprinkles!

I like my coffee, women, and Alstrynomics all the same way - twice per day, on average.

I like my coffee like...well, coffee:  Hot, in a big mug, with gallons of reserve.

OTOH, I like my women like I like my basketball--one on one, and with as little dribbling as possible.

LOL! Ha, you guys are cracking me up. Dribbling indeed!

I love my coffee beans like I love my women, but they often seem to disagree with me. A lot of the times. I love the aroma, the taste, the variety of colorful decorative touches that shimmers atop and demurely masks the many-layered complexities that surely lie just beneath the surface. But then, after the initial sampling, I end up with a headache, growling stomach, bad breath, and realize I'm now short a few more dollars... oops, perhaps I've said too much...  :-)
