Solution to Falling Property Values

November 02, 2008 – Comments (4)

I swear, Gordon Campbell is one of my biggest nemisis and has been since the idiot was Mayor Vancouver.  Under this idiot BC has run up debt like never before.  We just came out of an absolute boom and they only just managed to balance the budget when you are supposed to be paying back debt during booms.  Instead the debt went up by something in the range of 50% during the good years...

And contrast Vancouver to Burnaby, the latter not having Campbell's legacy of debt, and taxes are about the same for both municipalities, but there is huge difference in services and keeping public facilities up graded, and things like pot holes out of the roads...

Any way this time the above the law drinking driver (why he didn't get sent to jail like the rest of us would have...) has truly out done himself with genius.  He'll stop the bubble from bursting by freezing property assessements.

Good to know there is such outstanding leadership there...

Wasn't he around during the Jimmy Carter 'wage and price freeze' years?

I expect a 'property assessment freeze' will be just as effective.

Gordon Campbell= The AntiDwot

Just curious Dwot you ever thought about running for office? Seems to me you have a lot of the qualities a truely good public official (open minded, willingness to find the truth, amicable demeanour yet firm in own's opinions, relatable life experience, passion for people, service towards community over one's own employment etc etc) . I know it's a more than thankless job that relaly nobody of quality wants anymore but just was curious if it ever crossed your mind. Certainly you'd have my vote :-)

Oh and thikn that's bad about his DUI? we have a judge here in Columbus that has 7 :-(

Apparently with more clarification this is to prevent excessive workload with people wanting reassessments done...

I think tastylunch is on to something.  I think you would have great success in politics and be able to accomplish something for the people.  I'm sorry I don't live in BC because I would without a doubt vote for you.
