This morning I added Fidelity Southern (LION) to the Barchart Van Meerten Speculative portfolio. You've got to love a stock with the trading symbol of LION.
Fidelity Southern Corporation, through its operating subsidiary Fidelity Bank, provides a wide range of banking, mortgage and investment services through branches in Atlanta, Georgia. Mortgage, construction, and automobile loans are also provided through offices in Jacksonville, Florida.
I found the stock while screening on Barchart for low priced stock hitting new highs. Here are the factors I considered:
1 - 96% Barchart technical buy signal
2 - 18 new highs and up 24.17% in just the last month
3 - Relative Strength Index is 77.81% and rising
4 - Trades around 8.63 with a 50 day moving average of 7.25
