While deciding between the number 1 and 2 top 10 picks for 2013 is the most difficult part of the choosing my top 10. This would have made #1 if it didn;t have the massive run-up seen over the last 6-8 weeks, hitting a low of $3.09 and a high near $6.
Colossus Minerals ~ Colossus is one of my favorite gold stories for 2013 and 2014 as it is one of the highest grade deposits in the world. It was also host to the biggest gold rush in Latin American history. It;s flagship asset, Serra Pelada is expected to reach commerical production in 2013 with very small amounts of Pd and Pt. My projection is for 50,000 oz Au between production and that processed from the bulk sample. I;m also forecasting the avg grade in the NI 43-101 to be 17 g/t +/- 2. Even though cash costs tend to be higher in a mines first year of operation, the goes for Colossus, however, due to the high grade nature of the CMZ, I;m expecting this to come in around $500 +/- $100. By 2015 Colossus should be firing on all cyclinders as I expect them to buy back hald the stream that was sold to sandstorm on Pt and Pd and cash costs being reduced to $150-$200 +/- $50. By that tie Significant progress should be made on it nearby Cutia Au-Ag mine, which is also past producing.
