April 13, 2010 – Comments (7) | RELATED TICKERS: PKD , RJET , JOEZ

I don't normally like to to do this, but if I was not about to close on my new house this week I would be buying up shares in a few select stocks.  Since I can't buy my own, I thought I would share.

So here is what I see as good buys today:

Parker Drilling (PKD)

Joe's Jeans (JOEZ)

Republic Airways - now Frontier Air (RJET)

It's also not too late to grab some shares of Keryx Biopharmaceuticals Inc (KERX), although I would not consider that one on sale - more like ON FIRE!

Best of luck and be sure to do your own due diligence.  Don't take my word for it (or anyone else's for that matter!)

joez is getting beat with a stock hammer and blood is getting all over his jeans. It seems earnings killed joez and joez needs an ambulance and defibrillator this week.I was told by my stock guru that joez went too far too fast and was due for a 40 percent pullback from it's high of 3.66= a joez bloody beating to 2.19 .I'm no expert but with the so so earnings (no debt) high tax rate joez might be stale for a while, the trlg sentiment with joez has dried to a bloody scab this week.anyways joez is a winner, hidden gem and world domination growth stock ok ok growth stock and i will be gettin my joez this week or next!

I wuldn't be suprised if joez hits $2 or just below it.  The momentum is broke and it will continue to drop for the short term at least.  It might turn around again, but I wouldn't bet on it happening in the next week or two.

Republic and their old subidiares are keeping their names.  The only thing that is changing is their new subidiary Midwest is being folded into Frontier.

I own shares of RJET and bought more recently after their recent earnings.  Looks like it has great potential.

JOEZ is already showing signs of new buying interest.

megalong - you are correct, I was paraphrasing.  Here are some excerpts from the press release:

Republic Airways Holdings (NASDAQ: RJET) today announced another important step in the harmonization and ultimate integration of its branded operations, with the selection of the Frontier Airlines name for its consolidated branded network.

...

Republic Airways Holdings, based in Indianapolis, Indiana is an airline holding company that owns Chautauqua Airlines, Frontier Airlines, Lynx Aviation, Midwest Airlines, Republic Airlines and Shuttle America, collectively "the airlines."

But I think that most people will recognize the Frontier name and that is what will propel RJET's stock into the stratosphere, eventually.

I like PKD. If I didn't already have a position in PDS I would own Parker. PKD may be the better choice, though it remains to be seen how PDS transforms from a trust to a corporation.

Looks like JOEZ had to trade back down to the $2.40's before trading higher. Either way I took a long position in JOEZ and will sell ahead of next earnings release.

Bought PKD at $5.15...looks like it could run higher into earnings on Wednesday.

KKD looks like it's about to take a pop to the upside after some heavy selling. Volume increased today and it gained just over 2%. Plenty of further upside there.

 XIDE looks good too.

Another good day to pick up JOEZ, PKD, and RJET.

I added shares of JOEZ at $2.10.

RJET reported:

So far this year, the company's traffic has tripled, its capacity has more than doubled, and its occupancy rate has improved by 8 percentage points to 75 percent.

PKD also beat the estimates today.  They reported:

Q1 adj. EPS $0.02 vs est $0.00
