This is just a question: Are there still any publicly traded subprime mortgage companies left?

Quite a few funding companies still out there.  As for publicly traded, that would still be Fannie May and Freddie Mac.

Novastar and Impac still trade over the counter. I don't believe they are still doing subprime loans though. They have probably morphed into something else. I looked at Impac and the stock is now up 500% from the March low. They both did reverse stock splits before delisting.

Zolj, I looked at Impac again this week and they are in the process of relisting on the AMEX, they were delisted from the NYSE.

I guess they all haven't gone away. Impac is now up 2,800 % from the March low and has turned a profit in each quarter of 2009, with one more still left to report this year.

Maybe I'll do a blog on them.
