I am getting tired of reading the posts of some users and want to just set them on ignore so I can better pretend they don't exist.  The Fool should add a button that lets us ignore users who's commentary we find useless and annoying.

If you agree throw this blog a rec so it stays on the front page and gets viewed by some Motley Fool staff.

I have to agree, the pure number of posts on a daily basis makes it hard to wade through all of the noise - just as you can add your "favorites", I wish there were a way to simply ignore some users.  It would also cut down on a lot of the contentious back and forth arguments which add nothing of value to the site...

The problem is that there are a lot of blog posts each day and I don't want to have to sift through them all.  Also when I'm reading the comments on someone elses blog I don't want to read certain peoples comments, same for when I am looking at different peoples stock pitches.

On some other sites there is recommend "up" and "down". This way you get better idea how many people agree/disagree.

As for wanting to ignore some users, I don't see how that could work.

I actually prefer reading opposite opinions.

The problem with an ignore button is that encourages identities to pop up as different identities when enough people ignore and that individual is looking for attention.

Hmmmmm.  Makes the cure worse than the problem....maybe you should apply for a job at the Federal Reserve.

thats funny you write that alstry.  so you'd create multiple identities and keep coming back if that button was available?
