Over the past five years.....Private Equity funds have purchased thousands of businesses using incredible amounts of leverage.  Companies that once had sound balance sheets are now indebted up to the eyeballs.

As the economy slows, these companies have little in the way of reserves.  Many are now on the brink of failure.  The debt is on the balance sheets of our finanicial institutions and millions and millions of jobs are in jeopordy.

Imagine the social and finanicial implications as these companies go bankrupt and millions lose their jobs.  Amazing how little is discussed about this important issue facing our country.

Its always a party when anyone with  a pulse can get a loan.......it is just when the spigot gets cut off.......the hangover sucks.

There  is  nothing  fun about  my analysis......it is simply the truth.  If the truth bothers you I suggest you call your broker.  Without  knowledge of the truth....it is impossible to judge the proposed solutions.

If you think the proposals so far will help you.......may I suggest you keep your parachutes on.

better living thru modern economics!!!

my dad dropped out of school in the 6th grade to work in a textile mill.  he supported a family of 8 with a cigar box and a notebook.

"write down everything you spend and everything you make everyday, and the difference between the two is what you made. budget off of that."

he also said "you should be able to make change for a dollar in your head before the cashier."

turns out my dad was pretty smart. living thru a depression will do that for a person.
