The Afternoon Dump!

So, is this the beginning of things to come, or just an early start to a long holiday weekend?

I was expecting this to happen tomorrow, but was a little surprised today, since I am not aware of any particular event or events to cause this to happen after the morning "see saw" action.

I guess "investors", and I use that term very loosely, are getting a bit jittery and are afraid that this "bubble" might pop, with them inside.

There has been no real reason for the markets to go up as much, or as fast as they have, other than a lack of other places to put money, and the need for all of the "investing experts" to make more commissions and show that they are smarter than the other "investing experts"; but then there is no real reason for it to go down either.

Glad that I have been selling off some portion of my holdings, so I will have cash to take advantage of the "super bargins" that might be coming, and then hold until the economy recovers, or congress gets its act together and actually does something besides "squabble" and "posture". The likelyhood of that happening before the economy recovers on its own is about the same odds as the "proverbial snowball" surviving its visit to the nether regions.

Just thought I would post a blog so that others, (if they haven't already started their own long holiday weekend", would have a place to rant.

Good luck to all and don't let it get you down, over time, "all things change", and then "they change again".

Have a nice weekend and enjoy your families and friends.

Your said it correctly Jim,

You have to fold sometimes, and wait...............and wait. At these levels the snowball can't get much bigger before it Melts.......

Have a nice weekend.

I have no idea which way the market will go over the short or medium terms, but I wouldn't mind seeing a nice, big 10%+ correction.

I have some cash on the sidelines to deploy, but few ideas for new investments.

IBM and JW.A are two of my leading candidates, but I don't have enough conviction to pull the trigger on either.

If everything dropped 10% or more, I could probably find a really good bargain or two. That would be nice.

Have a great weekend!
