The Biggest Losers of 2008

December 08, 2008 – Comments (1)

I've had my share of losing stocks dragging down my CAPS portfolio since the summer, but I decided to take a closer look at some of the companies with horrendous losses to their share price over 2008 that still retain popular support among the CAPS community. As CAPS members, these are your collective votes for the best of the worst... that is, the best stocks from among the wreckage of 2008's painful declines. I hope you enjoy the article, and as always welcome your thoughts and feedback!

RTP and EXM are the best of that bunch, I think the rest are probably toast. Solar is dead unless oil recovers, which I see no sign of. Oil isn't exactly a hot commodity in a global depression and solar needs high oil to be viable. Sorry First Solar, it just isn't going to be your year (or decade.)
