Midwest Airlines to cut 40% of workforce, or 1,200 jobs
SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Midwest Airlines said Monday it will cut 40% of its workforce, or about 1,200 jobs, as a result of previously announced capacity cuts. The airline said earlier in the year it was removing its 12-plane MD-80 fleet from service this fall. Midwest said reductions will take place no later than mid-September.
The cuts get deeper and deeper. Credit gets tighter and tighter. The retail shut downs get larger and larger. The defaults keep growing and growing.The slowdown parade gets longer and longer.
