Interesting article on Yahoo! Answers "a librarian's worst nightmare," and not because it makes them obsolete, but because it shows how accessibility and popularity can trump truth in the search for... truth.

Community intelligence? I've found it lacking at Yahoo! Answers too.

Yahoo Answers is possibly the worst of all available services.  I don't think it's a good representative of what it could be.

I know they hate wikipedia too.  I actually found it far more useful than the library.  (for writing my research paper)  The stuff I got off the library database was useless.  Wikipedia, in contrast, had just the type of sources I needed.

It is an example of Gresham's law (as amended) in that bad posters can drive out good posters and debase the value of a forum.
