The Golden Dilemma

This provides a broad discussion in the role of gold in an investment portfolio. It has a lot of interesting charts and discussion that make it a good read.

Emerging Consumers Drive Gold Prices: Who Knew?

This is an older article that came from GMO. They argue that the recent rise in the price of gold has been driven by emerging demand for gold (partly due to limited investing options for emerging investors). As a side note, I think exhibit 1 is deceptive as it compares the price of gold with the change in CPI which I think is a poor comparison.
