For a long time everybody I know, from business men to teachers to doctors hate, absolutly hate our tax system.

That's not a big surprise because no one likes to pay taxes, yet without taxes our society won't function. So in this blog I am not saying eliminate taxes, I am saying change the damn system and maybe, just maybe our economy will recover.

Just the amount of paperwork, time, and money, and professions like accountants, CPA's, tax consultants, etc is a huge burden on our economy. Now that we are in a long term decline ( i forsee 10-20 years of steady decline or no actual gain) the tax system in this country needs a big change and I mean BIG. Let's get rid of the fat CPA's, tax attornies, IRS burocrats who drain our economy from the last pennies that we have and come up with a smart, 21st century tax system.

Our tax system discourages people from working harder and is putting a lid on the activities that business men and women want to pursue. This is a classic case of the problems that stop a country to develop, and I know one or 2 things about developing countries ( my Major at UCLA was INternational Development Studies) and it's sad to say that our country is looking more and more like a developing country and not a mature Industrious country we once were.

Flat tax system is a good thing. Putting all taxes on sales tax is a good thing. Anything that simplifies taxes and gets rif of CPA's and blood sucking, no good, buerocrats is a good thing. Since when should the American people be subject to a force and be scared of a force that was created to serve us????????

If you see an IRS agent or anyone in the government please remind them: THEY WORK FOR US! WE DON't WORK FOR THEM!!!!!!!!!

Now i have many friends who are in different businesses, from Garment/clothing/textile to Construction and they all...ALL of them say they hate to expand and make more money because they will have to pay more taxes.

At first this made no sense to me at all. You will make more money, there will be more money in your pocket, so why would one care if IRS gets a cut???

Then I remembered tke rule or the law rather that every 1st year economy major gets to learn about: The law of dimishing returns.

Why would a business man work 10 times harder, takes 10 times more risk, takle on 10 times more headache and overhead to only make 2 times the money????!!!

Another classic burden of developing countries: lack of incentives, lack of motivation. Same is developing in this country: why bother with tons of paperwork, deal with tons of no good government people, deal with all that headache to do more projects...the hell with them!

These days most business men are happy where they are, don't get me wrong! They are taking advantage of the tight job market, pay their people less money, don't hire and instead worj their workers harder than ever, because they know that the workers will put up with it, because they know the workers can't find a different job.

Our tax system was developed in a time when it would have been beneficial to most, but those time are loooong gone, and if we don't change the system we will all suffer the consequences, and trust me business men would be the last to suffer. It will be all of us.

Call your congress people and keep things rolling.
