The Little Book of the Shrinking Dollar
I read the Daily Pfennig to find out whats going on in the world currency markets. The writer of that newletter, Chuck Butler, recommended that I read The Little Book of the Shrinking Dollar by Addison Wiggin of Agora Financial. The book was just published in May. He said it was a short read so I figured I'd check it out.
I like this book because it explains the issues with our current fiscal and monetary policies and proposes solutions to protect your money in the event that the worst case scenario happens with the dollar (e.g. it collapses).
I'm not one of those people who would cash out my 401k, build a bunker and stash it with all kinds can goods and ammo. (I would do so in the event of a zombie apocalypse but thats another story) But I do believe that the direction of this country is uncertain and should the unthinkable happen I would like to know my options.
I'm sure this book is not going to appeal to alot of people here but there are quite a few gold investors that believe the dollar is doomed to suffer the same fate of many other fiat currencies. If that person is you then this book would be worth the few depreciating dollars to purchase it. =)
