THE TRANSITION FROM THE INDUSTRIAL AGE TO THE DIGITAL AGE.....

Western Europe and the United States are dependent on respective governments to spend massively in order to sustain economies....the spoiled sheep citizens simply view this as a way of life and a right.....but are we reaching the end of the road for an age gone by and the money has simply run out?

The above are Mish's three most recent headlines...

Here is the dilema....if governments don't spend...millions lose jobs and countries crash into a depression.....if governments continue spending money they don't have.... money is worthless and countries crash into an even bigger depression.

You think governments are going to want to face the anger of their people with these two choices?

You can't take away expectations of sheep!!!!!

Not a very nice problem to have when you have hundreds of millions of people pissed off at you.....so how do you tell sheep the truth?  YOU DON"T!!!!!

So what is going to distract the sheep into the Digital Age......

A major World War?

A massive natural disaster?

A "unforeseeable" economic disaster?

MAYBE ALL THREE!

It is about time for the sheep to enter the Digital Age....it will be exciting....but you can bet something is just around the corner....a little later than I originally anticipated.

What happens when Industrial Governments around the world go broke and most of the people work directly or indirectly for Government?

300,000 jobs in public sector face the axe

Detailed research by The Sunday Times shows that at least 300,000 workers, including civil servants and frontline staff, will lose their jobs over the next few years.

Some estimates suggest that the number of job losses could reach 700,000.

These will include tens of thousands of health service managers as well as many thousands of doctors and nurses ... Thousands of police officers and their civilian support staff ... 20,000 jobs will be lost at the Ministry of Defence ... including some frontline soldiers ...

REMEMBER....IN AMERICA...

23 Million work directly for a government with dwindling tax receipts

40 Million receive Food Stamps from a government with dwindling tax receipts

50 Million receive Social Security Checks

16 Million receive large  unemployment checks from a government with dwindling tax receipts

Many millions of highly paid workers are employed by a health care system funded primarily by government

Drug Stores and Grocery Stores receive a significant amount of their revenues from the beneficiaries of government payments

Same with Auto Dealers

And Landlords......

IF THE GOVERNMENT IS NOT SPENDING MASSIVELY....WE DON'T HAVE MUCH OF AN INDUSTRIAL ECONOMY ANYMORE.....

WHAT HAPPENS TO THE INDUSTRIAL WORLD WHEN THE INDUSTRIAL GOVERNMENTS GO BROKE?

If governments run out of money......industrial economic systems collapse under the current model as lower revenues can't cover current cost obligations.

The bad part of an economic depression is obvious, job losses lead to economic strain, social unrest, right down to a fight for individual survival. The really bad part of a depression is that usually a major war follows it. Unfortunately, I see that type convulsion as unavoidable. People are already angry and it is all just beginning to unfold.
