Spain ghost airports: symbols of boom turned bust

I know it is easy to find example of "pork barrel spending" by governments. The examples given for Spain's I found to be interesting. It is nice to read about the problems of someone else now and again. It helps you to forget your own worries. Not unlike some reality programming.

Were I a James Bond level villian, I would totally have that airport as part of my villainous hideout. I would build a huge laser array that would rise up from the runway on command and threaten to blow up the moon if my demands for all the world's gold to be melted into charm bracelets was not met!

And it would seem I could hire the local cabbies as my minions at a pretty good price.

I'd go for that. But I'd need a 24k gold Rolls Royce and a white persian cat to round out the villian persona.

P.S. - I'd also need a well placed sinister looking scar on my cheek or above my brow.
