The "Bubble" Bubble / Goodbye Verasun

November 03, 2008 – Comments (3)

The credit bubble, the housing bubble, the commodity bubble, blah, blah, blah the list goes on forever.  Is anyone else out there as sick of the word "bubble" as I am.  From now on, I am boycotting the word completely.  I have decided to call anything that I would have previously called a this now unmentionable word a "balloon."  Balloons still inflate and they can pop just like the word that I can't say, I just don't hear and read about balloons every five minutes.  I urge you to join my campaign, "Balloon '08" and use it as a replacement as well.

Goodbye Verasun (VSE) and good riddance.  Add a worthless energy source like corn ethanol to a poorly run company and the result will ultimately be bankruptcy...even with massive government subsidities (interestingly spell check doesn't recognize the word "subsidities," it suggests "stupidities" as a replacement...that fits).  I closed out my thumbs down on VSE this morning after riding it down -97.60%.  Too bad the bear market shaved a chunk off of that, so I only yielded 63.85 CAPS points.  I rode Verasun all the way to bankruptcy and it doesn't even make the front page of my best all time trades in CAPS.  Oh well.
