The "Preview Post" Button Is So Annoying!

Am I on Fool.com or am I working on an extension of a Microsoft product?  Everything on this site is followed by a "Preview" box.  What do I need to preview for?  When I was typing out my post, I was previewing what I was writing the first time.

I also hate how I keep getting error 02-38-71-45-97 when I try to post in blogs.  What is the deal?

I say do away with the "Preview Post" function.  If people on here need to preview their posts, then they got bigger issues to deal with than the stock market.

END RANT.

:)

P.S.  I will have to "Preview Your Post" as usual :/

AGREED! By far the worst message board system I've ever seen. Luckily the posts are good, so I keep coming back ;)

I don't mind the button.  I like having one last chance to look everything over before I hit submit.  But the error 02-38... is really freakin' annoying, I've been getting it a lot lately.  A lot of the time I'm see a blog and think I've replied to it only to remember that I got this error and just left.

Blog title should have been "Error 02-38-71-45-97 Is So Annoying!"

Example; I previewed this, realized I wanted to add that maybe having both a Preview and just plain ol' Submit buttons would be a good idea, but when I clicked to edit my post, I got the error.

Its great if you are posting html code because one missed special character or one unhyperlinked hyperlink can ruin the whole post.

I would like to have both a preview button and a post now button.

I agree with #4 and #5.  I like being able to preview so I can edit HTML and linking errors, but it'd be nice to be able to skip it by checking a box or having a "post now" button.

The preview button is good because it lets you to see how your format will look. Not sure if it's the same as your error code, but preview definitely eats my comments from time to time. It's a good idea to ctrl+C what you've written before previewing.

I agree with #4. What does surprise me are the post comments that go something like this. "oh, I don't know what happened. It looked different before I posted it."

I'd also like to be able to edit my post after submitting it.  I'm probably the only person on the forum who has written something stupid that I wish I could delete.  Here online, I'm constantly sticking my foot in my mouth, er... keyboard.

You, Port?  Such supreme wisdom... Never an edit...  wait... There was that one gmx reply you made that you wished you'd...  Oh, never mind...  Sorry I brought that up.  I can't delete this either now that it's posted. ;)
