A new video helps explain why we all need to stand up and defend private insurance and the corporate executives who profit off of our misery.

Stars Will Ferrell, and several other good folks..

"Health care executives need our support, because they keep our selfish requests in check"

"Health care executives are detail oriented.  If you make a typo, do you deserve compensation?  I don't think so."

"Insurance executives have a right to their American dream"

"Who really supports a public option?  Only 80% of Americans."

I don't think that car insurance executives should profit from our misery, either. And, for that matter, those executives at life insurance companies are profiting from death! Down with them, too!

As long as we're against anyone who profits from the misery of others, we should probably not defend any public official or career politician. Look at all the misery that is caused by municipal codes, local, state and federal laws. Out with them all!

Wait. Is it OK for government employees and administrators to get a paycheck derived from the misery of the US health care system? They should have to work for free, I think. Maybe we could adopt a slogan. How about "from each according to his ability, to each according to his needs?"

I agree with health care reform and the video is making a point nothing wrong with making a profit but when you ration health care and deny people so execs can make fat salarys and to allow fat profit margins something is horribly wrong.

There are certain things that don't belong in the private domain - why?  Because the profit motive runs counter the the end goal of the organization.

Health care for example - if it is profitable to deny coverage to someone because of a preexisting condition or a typo on their form - private will do that move.  That runs counter to the whole point of health insurance.

Military - if you privatize security forces in Iraq, with a group.. you end up getting poorly trained security (to cut costs), and all sorts of abuses (hint, this has been widely reported in Iraq, at our embassy - and follow all the stories about BlackWater - remember the massacre in the crossroads..?).

Notice that the Military doesn't get privately run health care - and notice that they have the best health care plan in the country, rivaling that of senators and congressman.  I think all the members of congress who oppose public health care plan should give up their OWN PUBLICLY funded plans as well!
